Site still evolving
Well, I managed to set up the FTP server, and download some more interesting themes, thanks to the great support forums at BlueHost. This one is called Green Marinee and has been designed by Ian Main, an Australian web designer. It’s a brand new template and I like its bold and fresh look.
If you’re considering getting your own hosting system, it should definitely be BlueHost, which already has over 240,000 domains. I signed up for two years of web hosting and got a free domain registration thrown in. This was my first attempt at setting up a website and the support team at BlueHost is simply outstanding. My mails to them were answered within a couple of hours, always with precise and direct answers. I loved their one click Fantastico set up for WordPress and all of their support pages.
I’m waiting for WordPress to add additional plugins so I can download them, so far I only have Akismet and Dolly, which is of no technical use, but I still adore. Since I have another WordPress site, I am already familiar with all the basic WP issues, except that there are limited options in this version of WP. The free version of WordPress is loaded with themes, plugins and options, and until I get the hang of more complicated website handling, my site is going to be pretty simple.
